Santas Arrival in Looe8th  December This year Santa will be arriving in Looe on Saturday 8thDecember. Santa arrive at Looe Station on the Santa Special at 2.55pm. He will lead a procession pulled by his reindeer through the town finishing at Santa’s Grotto outside the Harbour Office. There will be stalls, children’s entertainment, bouncy castle and a Reptiles and Raptors display in the Harbour Car Park – 12 noon until 7pm.

Mount Edcumbe Christmas Fayre8th– 9thDecember. Back for the fifteenth year, and still fabulous!  Featuring inspirational cookery demonstrations from leading west country chefs, local produce stalls for your culinary delight, a wide variety of crafts and gifts plus lots of entertainment. 

Father Christmas at Lanhydrock9thDecember, Lanhydrock.You and your family will have an exclusive audience with Father Christmas and time for a brief chat-he's a busy fellow at this time of year. The Winter Gift Fayre12th– 20thDecember, Lemon Quay Truro. Building on from what was the Victorian Christmas Market The Winter Gift Fayre aims to become one of Cornwall’s most well-known Christmas events, with theming that encapsulates the spirit of winter magic and Christmas festivities with evergreens, natural wood and warm twinkling lights.

The Winter Gift Fayre will offer quality products throughout, visitors will enjoy a wonderful selection of craft, jewellery, art, food, drink and much more.

The Mousehole Lights, 15thDecember – 4th  January. The Christmas lights in Mousehole are a stunning sight, with floating displays of lights in the harbour and around the streets that are filled with the aroma of mulled wine and festive food. You’ll see a fantastic display of sea serpents, fishing boats and whales colourfully lighting up one of Cornwall’s most welcoming harbours. They are a must see.

New years eve in looe, 31stDecember a fantastic evening where the town comes to life. Fancy dress is a must. With fireworks at 6pm for children on the beach, then adults can see in the new year with a fantastic display at midnight on the beach.

Mousehole lights16thDecember – 4thJanuary, Mousehole.

The Christmas lights in Mousehole are a stunning sight, with floating displays of lights in the harbour and around the streets that are filled with the aroma of mulled wine and festive food. You’ll see a fantastic display of sea serpents, fishing boats and whales colourfully lighting up one of Cornwall’s most welcoming harbours. They are a must see.

New years Dip 1st January, Looe. Refreshments will be available in the boathouse as usual - 11.00 start. This is the best hangover cure you will get. Hope to see you all there. More information will be posted on the site in the next few weeks regarding safety info, forecasts and registration .

The Lost Gardens of Heligan Charity open day 1st January 2019. The Lost Gardens of Heligan will once again open it gates in aid of local charities. While not admissions are charged it is encouraged visitors make a minimum £2 dontation.

Historical Garden Tours at Heligan, 8thand 15thJanuary. Experienced Heligan Tour Guide David Hogg invites you to join him for an in depth tour of the Gardens. Cornwall Spring flower show 6th – 7th April, Named by The Sunday Telegraph as one of the best flower shows to visit in the UK, this celebration of Cornwall’s rich garden heritage takes place in the magnificent grounds of Boconnoc House, and features show gardens, trade stands and competitive classes.

St Endellion Easter Music festival 13th– 21st April This festival has made a specialty of English language performances of the Bach Passions.  The intensity in the church’s intimate setting is a musical experience not to be missed.

Porthleven food festival 26th  -28th April, Helston.The festival takes place in the picturesque harbour town of Porthleven, West Cornwall, expect all day cooking demos, food and craft stalls surrounding the harbour, music, dancing, performances, music, art and cooking workshops.

Bude and Stratton folk festival 24thMay – 2ndJune May . Bude & Stratton Folk Festival is small friendly and very welcoming. It is held in the picturesque surroundings of Bude and nearby Stratton in North Cornwall on the late May Bank Holiday weekend. The Festival always welcomes a wide range of talented guest performers. This year these include internationally known folk artists such as Jim Causley, Jackie Oates and Liam Robinson. We are delighted also to welcome school children from Bude Junior School, who will give a dance display on Saturday morning and local morris sides, who will be dancing during the weekend.  Festival goers can participate in a variety of workshops, open mic stages, music sessions and sing arounds.

Royal Cornwall Show 6th– 8th June, Wadebridge. Cornwall’s showcase since 1793 and a fascinating glimpse into rural life. Apart from the livestock judging, there is the famous flower tent, show jumping and a fast and furious inter-hunt relay.

Saltash Regatta and waterside festival 7th– 8th June. Saltash Regatta is one of the most colourful waterside festivals in South East Cornwall. You will find gig rowing events as well as entertainment on the shore. Dates TBC

Looe Raft Race 9thJune. The great Looe raft race will be taking place again this year. Expect lots of chaos and fun and look out for out Team Treworgey raft.

Falmouth international sea shanty festival 14th– 16th June fantastic free festival of maritime music and a great way to soak up the true atmosphere of Falmouth’s seafaring past with performances by dozens of groups from all the UK and beyond.

Falmouth Classics Regatta 14th– 16th June The  best Classic Boat Rallies comes to Falmouth, Cornwall & coincides with the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival. The highlight of the regatta is the Parade of Sail & Power, as competitors

Polperrow Music festival 15th– 22thJune, Polperro. Includes plenty of live music, an arts and crafts fair,comedy night, lighting of the solstice bonfire, colourful village carnival and a unique mock mayor choosing ceremony.

Golowan Festival 21st – 30th June A traditional boat festival, running in tandem with the well-established and much loved Golowan Festival. Owners and crews of traditional style boats are invited to come and enjoy the atmosphere.

Looe Lugger Regatta 5th– 7th July. This Bi-annual regatta is back in Looe. Traditional luggers, two masted sailing boats once common along the coasts of England and France, head to the Historical port.

Tropical Pressure Festival 12th– 14th July, Truro. Tropical Pressure Festival - Celebrating the rich cultures of Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean on the cliffs of Cornwall.

Liskeard Agricultural show 13th July, Merrymeet. Fab day out for all the family, traditional country show (like Royal Cornwall, but smaller!)

Stithians Agricultural show 15th July, Stithians. Musical entertainment, food courts, craft stalls, a fairground, and animals of all sorts including rare breeds, a dog show and dog agility & agility exhibitions, equestrian events - a full day out for the whole family.

Camborne Show 20th July  Agricultural Show with competitions, attractions, craft and general sales, refreshments and live entertainment

Port Eliot festival25th– 28thJuly, St Germans. Described as a literary festival, but with the feel of a garden party. Attracts mix of celebs, art lovers, foodies, party animals and book worms

Boconnoc Steam Fair 26th– 28th July. An old fashioned steam extravaganza held annually in the magnificent grounds of the Boconnoc Estate. Showcases vintage vehicles including full size and miniature steam engines.

Falmouth week 9th– 18th August Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week has grown into the largest sailing regatta in the south west with more than 450 yachts racing over eight days, and a lively programme of shoreside events.

Cornish steam and county fair 16th– 18th August Redruth. Previously know as the West of England Steam Rally. Up to 100 full size and miniature steam engines from all over the country, rural craft displays & children's entertainment. 

Fowey regatta and carnival 18th– 24th August One of the best local regattas in the country,with a fun-filled week for all the family. Events include a midweek Carnival and a spectacular firework display, and the Red Arrows return!

47th Cornwall Folk Festival 22nd – 26th August.There's an amazing line up of international, national and local performers coming to Wadebridge this August. Gretchen Peters flies in from the States to headline, whilst all over the town on multiple stages, musicians fill the place with music. 

Newlyn fish festival 26th August. Celebrating all things fishy in Britain’s premier fishing port where you can satisfy your appetite with the best seafood you’re likely to find anywhere and help to raise money for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.

Bude Jazz 27th – 30th August. Bude has been involved in staging jazz festivals for 25 years and is renowned world-wide for its support for the music.
