Orchard tours and tasting

Local Orchard Tours & Guided Tastings

If you look across the valley from Treworgey, at the far East of your field of view, you'll see a small established orchard, with lots of newly planted apple trees lower down the hill.  This is the home of Ripe Cider.  Cameron and Georgie, a husband-and-wife team, have started a low-intervention, natural cidery just a stone's throw from our cottages.

Georgie and Cameron are now offering orchard tours and guided tastings.  If you're interested in top end natural cider, and learning how it's made, this is a fantastic way to spend a bit of time during your holiday, with peole who are friendly, incredibly passionate and knowledgeable.   Here's a bit of info:

Discover how natural, low-intervention cider is made from orchard to barrel to bottle.
Wander through our regeneratively managed orchards, meet our sheep, and go behind the scenes in our cidery to see how we produce our delicious low - intervention ciders. Perfect for curious drinkers, food & wine lovers, and fans of regenerative, sustainable farming.

Your visit includes:
* A guided walk through our orchards
* A chance to meet the sheep that help manage our orchards
* An inside look at our cidery and process
* A guided tasting of our current releases, paired with local cheese
* Insights into wild fermentation and slow ageing

Our ciders are made from 100% apples, naturally fermented and aged for a minimum of 16 months. The result is cider that is elegant, expressive, and made for the table - best enjoyed in a wine glass and paired with food.
