Treworgey nestles in our own beautiful 170 acre Cornish farm. Much of that land is used for grazing our horses, our flock of Jacob sheep and cattle owned by a neighbouring farmer.
On about 20 acres of the land we grow a biofuel called Miscanthus (or Elephant Grass). This miscanthus, planted in 2013, is the fuel for heating all of the cottages on Treworgey Farm and providing them with hot water, as well as for heating the pool. We are completely self-sufficient for our heating and hot water needs! This has cut our use of fossil fuels to a tiny fraction of what it was, not just on-site but also in the transport of fuel from far away.
Also on the farm are a whole range of friendly animals that we care for so that we can provide an incredible and educational experience to children. Families can join in each morning to help us to feed our ducks, chickens, rabbits, goats, horses, pigs and more. All our animals are free-range.
There are beautiful farm walks, over fields and through woodlands, sometimes with sea views that we invite you to explore while you're staying with us. You will find a pocket-sized fold-out map of our farm walks in your cottage.
What our visitors have to say:
A beautiful garden, quiet spot and lovely views. All bedrooms are really comfortable and the farm house kitchen enormous. Leyland may well be our new favourite property at Treworgey ...Rob
This was our 4th family stay at the Treworgey farmhouse and we are very excited about returning yet again next month! The space allows our family from different parts of the country to get together for a holiday in a lovely, safe setting in sunny beautiful Cornwall.Dave
We’ve rented The Farmhouse for a few years now, for a ladies’ weekend away. Everyone loves it. It’s warm and cosy in the November gloom. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished.Gill
"A wonderful week here in Honeysuckle. We first came as a family gathering in Coombe farm house. This time just the two of us. It is so cosy with everything to make us feel perfectly at home. In fact we've been imagining it being our home! We can but dream.... "MARTIN AND HEATHER RYAN
