Coombe Kitchen Menu 

 

Food homemade using local ingredients

Coombe Kitchen dishes are made in small batches from the best quality ingredients, local wherever possible, to Jane’s tried and tested recipes.  She uses only British, Farm Assured meat.  Portions are generous and come labelled with simple heating instructions. Meals are delivered frozen and are placed in your cottage freezer ahead of your arrival.  Freshly made cakes and teatime treats will be made and delivered on Fridays.

 

What's included

Meals are as described on the menu below and do not come with any sides such as vegetables, rice, pasta or bread unless stated. 

How to order

PLEASE PLACE YOUR ORDER BY EMAIL TO COOMBE KITCHEN AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE ARRIVAL (afternoon teas and cakes can be ordered by 6pm the day before for delivery on Thursdays or Fridays, although if prior notice can be given it would be appreciated)

Please note, Jane has the following holidays booked:

Currently until Friday 13th  of December 2024.    Unfortunately, there will be no fresh cakes etc. on 5th, 6th 12th & 13th of December. 

Monday 6th to Friday 10th January 2025 - Please order by Monday 23rd December for any meals required for a stay during this period. Cakes will be available on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd January 2025.

 

 

Starters

Sweet Potato & Roasted Red Pepper Soup    Gluten & Dairy Free  £3.50  per portion

Chicken Liver Pate   Gluten Free  £4.00  per portion

Smoked Mackerel & Horseradish  Pate  Gluten Free  £4.00  per portion

Helford Blue & Port Pate  Gluten Free  £4.75  per portion

Pates are prepared and frozen in ramekins, ready to serve.  Please return clean ramekins to the box outside the office

 

Main Courses

Chicken Pie  Tender chunks of British Chicken and diced pancetta in a creamy sauce and topped with puff pastry.  £6.65 per portion

Steak Mushroom & Ale Pie  Slow cooked chunks of British beef cooked with Cornish Ale and mushrooms and topped with  puff Pastry .   £7.40 per portion

Pork &Cider Hot Pot  Diced leg of British Pork,  slow cooked with carrots in a cider and sage sauce, topped with sliced potatoes.  Gluten free   £6.65 per portion

Trawlerman’s Pie    Mixed seasonal fish from Looe, prepared and frozen on the day it is caught, in a creamy sauce with cider, saffron, dill and cream,  and topped with creamy mashed potato Gluten free  £7.40 per portion

Shepherd’s Pie    British Lamb, minced and cooked with red wine, garden mint and diced carrots.  Topped with creamy mashed potatoes.  Gluten free  £6.95 per portion

Bolognaise  Sauce  British beef, minced and slow cooked with tomatoes, celery, peppers, mushrooms  and herbs Gluten free  £6.25 per portion

Beef Chilli & Rice  A rich, medium hot chilli with a serving of rice Gluten free  £6.65 per portion

Five Bean Chilli & Rice  Mixed beans cooked in a rich, medium hot chilli sauce with a serving of rice.  Gluten free  £6.65  per portion

Afternoon Tea   Smoked Salmon Pate and cucumber sandwiches, scone with homemade jam and clotted cream and a selection of homemade cakes.  £17.50 per person
