Animal feeding at Treworgey
Written by Zoë
Every weekday day morning at 9am we invite our younger guest to join us for animal feeding. We have a wide range of animals to feed here each morning, giving our littler guests a real chance to get up close and personal with our farmyard friends. Some of whom I thought we would introduce
The pigs – We have two pigs here at Treworgey Morwenna and Bab- Bam We feed these each morning and give them the occasional treats.
The Goats – We have two Goats here at Treworgey, Regular guests will already know Mary, who can often be found wondering around Treworgey looking for food and attention, she can be very cheeky and has been know to climb aboard the Waitrose vans, and sometimes even pop into your cottage if you leave the door open. We also have Pedro is much more well behaved. Both our goats enjoy being had fed by the children each morning, and sometimes we even give Mary a brush.
The ducks – each morning we let the ducks out and watch them rush to the pond.
The Guinea pigs – each morning we get to have a cuddle with one of our guinea pigs. We currently have three girls, Milky way, Sandy and Cookies and cream. All three of which have been enjoying lots of cuddles and dandelion treats from our small guests this summer.
The Lambs – We usually have a few bottle or hand fed lambs from February – May. This year we had 11 bigger lambs children could hand feed each morning. This year's lambs are now out with the flock as they're big enough to live with the adult sheep.
Animal feeding is a great chance to learn more about the animals that live here at Treworgey, and ask questions.
We run animal feeding on weekday mornings including bank holidays, usually at 9am. Just meet by the stile oppisite the Farmhouse.

"We felt at home straight away and some days found it too difficult to leave so just tucked ourselves up here. We are feeling totally relaxed, rested and very very happy!"
