Animal News

There's been plenty happening with our animals over the last few months!
Mary and Pedro now have a new enclosed paddock of their own. Don't worry – guests will still be able to meet them and help feed them in the mornings, but they won't be wandering quite so freely around Treworgey as they have in the past. They seem very happy with their new home and are enjoying all the extra attention.
Bam Bam and Mormenna, our Kune Kune pigs, are also doing well and have been making the most of the warm weather with plenty of mud baths. As always, they seem to have perfected the art of staying cool while getting as muddy as possible!
The bottle-fed lambs from earlier this year have now grown up enough to join the main flock and are settling in well with the rest of the sheep.
We've also had a busy spring with our birds. Sadly, we lost Bernard the duck to old age last year and a few more ducks fell victim to Mr Fox earlier this year. To help rebuild the flock, we've been busy hatching ducklings and chicks.
The ducklings have just joined the rest of the ducks on the pond and are taking their time on learning to go in at night! We've also had several chicks hatch here at Treworgey, and they're busy exploring the chicken run under the watchful eyes of their mums.
As always, there's never a shortage of furry, feathered and muddy characters to keep us entertained!
If you'd like to meet some of them during your stay, animal feeding takes place at 9am every weekday morning, and guests are always welcome to come along and help.

"The children (Meg, 9 & Jack, 6) love it here. They have had happy times playing with the rabbits and in the playground and you can't really go wrong in Cornwall for days out. Thanks to everyone at Treworgey for another fab holiday!"- THE WHITLOCKS
