Cornwall Science Museum

Written by Holly Kyte

We can't quite believe this hasn't been on our radar until now, but last weekend we discovered this gem of a place just half an hour from Treworgey.

Discovering 42 (or The Science Museum) is an extremely hands-on exchibition for all ages.  Children are actively encourage to touch and play with absolutely everything.

Our kids (and us!) had a brilliant time.  Favourites include the bike-powered record player, levitating balls, remote controlled mining machines and magnetic marble run.

Best of all were the 'Magic Mocktails' at the cosy cafe at the end.  The children got to help make curious drinks (colour changing, jelly-fish lookalike etc) and then loved drinking them.  Meanwhile grownups had a decent coffee!

This is a great way to spend a few hours on a wet day, or as part of a Camel Trail bike trip.

If you fancy an escape to Cornwall this autumn, we have a few vacancies left in September and more in October (though October half term is almost full!).  Have a look here at our availability:
