When you’re only a few years old, there are few experiences open to you that are quite as exciting as riding on the back of a (relatively) giant mammal. For some of our littlest guests, the vertiginous encounter can require a little warming up to. It can be worth spending a bit of time letting children get to know the ponies on the ground first, not to mention persuading them that riding hats are actually a great look and kind of necessary.
We’ve come up with a new weekly session for 2019 to help our smallest riders to have the best possible experience with the ponies, particularly if it’s a fairly new adventure for them. Our ‘Trotting Tots Club’ (for children 5yrs and under) will give children the time and space to get to know the ponies, brush them, tickle their noses and touch the different textures of their fur, mane and skin, before getting on board. After this, its pony rides all round, and the children will, we believe, be far more confident climbing aboard after their time spent around the ponies.
Trotting Tots Club will be FREE in 2019 and will run every week from the beginning of May to mid-July (excluding school holidays). Each little person should bring along a grown-up to help supervise and hold on to them while they ride.
If your children are a bit older, have a look at the three kids clubs we hold in the school holidays by clicking here.
