There's plenty going on here at Treworgey this October half-term including: 

  • Two pony clubs on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4pm

  • Forest school afternoon on Wednesday from 2-4pm

  • Pumpkins to carve to display outside your cottage

  • A halloween puzzle trail around the farm

  • Daily animal feeding (Mon - Fri)

18th - 29th October -  Halloweden!  At The Eden Project, PL24 2SG

The legendary Tree Giants have arrived at Eden on a special quest this Halloween - they need your help to protect the worlds’s forests.  Uncover their hiding places and discover ancient wisdom, extraordinary tales and enchanting performances.  9.30 am - 6 pm

Now open - Nature’s Playground - a spectacular natural adventure play area in the Outdoor Gardens, brimming with imaginative, sensory play, including water!  Be one of the first to try Nature’s Playground and remember to dress accordingly!  For ages  2-16 yrs from 9.30 am.

20th October - Be a Deer Ranger for an afternoon/morning at Boconnoc Estate, Lostwithiel.

Two sessions available - morning session from 10 to finish at 12 and afternoon session 1-3 pm.  

Hop aboard the tractor trailer for a fun ride to the Deer Park where you can learn all about the beautiful deer that live on the Estate.  Craft activities also available in the Stable Yard.  Recommended for 12 years and under but all welcome.

21st-29th October - Dragon and Fairy Trial at Boconnoc Estate, Lostwithiel, PL22 ORG.

An enchanting walk through the stunning grounds of Boconnoc as you search for mythical fairy folk and dragons! This trail will lead you through the beautiful gardens where handcrafted willow sculptures of mischievous Cornish Piskeys and legendary dragons will spark wonder and delight.

21st-31st October - Dormouse Half Term Garden Trail at National Trust, Lanhydrock, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL30 4AB

10.30 am - 16.00 daily.  Just £3 per child.  This October half-term, head to Lanhydrock to join dormouse and his woodland friends as they search the garden for the perfect autumn party food.

Enjoy Autumn colour in the gardens open from 10.30 - 17.00 daily to the end of October (house is open 11 - 17.30) and cycle hire from 10 - 16.00 with trails open dawn til dusk.

21st-31st October - Spooky Scarecrows at National Trust, Cotehele, near Saltash, PL12 6TA.

This October half-term, head to Cotehele to see how many spooky scarecrows you can find hiding in the garden. Spot the scarecrows and read their stories from local folklore to solve the mystery.  10 am til 16.00 pm.

23rd - 27th October - Silhouettes and Shadows, National Maritime Museum, Falmouth, TR11 3QY

Ghost ships gliding on the foggy seas, a whale with a greedy appetite for pesky pirates and a menacing skeleton crew who lure unsuspecting sailors aboard their ship with … sausage sandwiches?

21st – 29th October, 12.30pm – 3.30pm  - Make and Take - Make a spooky shadow puppet and create stories together.  Also, explore the Museum Trail for hidden pirate ghost ships.

24th October - How to Catch a Book Witch at Sterts, Upton Cross just 10 minutes north of Liskeard on the B3254.  Sat Nav: PL14 5AZ.

An open-hearted show aimed at children aged 3+.  Exploring the importance of libraries, sharing stories and not judging people, featuring live music, puppetry and storytelling.

29th October - Autumn Rockpool Ramble, Hannafore Beach, meet below the Coastguard Station, Looe from 11 am to 12.15.

Fancy finding some cool crabs and stunning starfish?  Please wear suitable footwear (no flip flops) and leave nets at home as they can harm delicate rockpool creatures.
