Written by Carolyn Nicole
What’s on locally in the run up to the festivities 2025?
Well, simply loads! Whether you fancy a Christmas Market, carol singing, meeting Santa or a Christingle Service, there’s so much to choose from in our immediate locality if you can tear yourself away from Christmas shopping and feasting at our numerous excellent eateries. Listed are a few tempting ideas:

The 28th November saw the Lights Switch On and Lantern Parade in Looe as well as the start of the 2025 Elf Hunt! There are 30 mischievous elves hiding around our local businesses. See www.welcometolooe/christmas-in-looe-elf-hunt for full details.

If you’re here for New Year, there are two firework displays on New Year’s Eve - the first at 6 pm which is ideal for families, followed by the second bash at midnight with many of the revellers bringing in the New Year in full fancy dress, as is the Looe tradition! Around 11 am on New Years Day, take to the refreshing waters on the beach at Looe if you dare in festive attire and maybe neoprene gloves to welcome in the New Year in true style!
