What’s On October Half Term 2025
Treworgey has plenty of activities to keep you busy this half term, including:
- Pony Clubs on Monday and Tuesday afternoons (subject to interest)
- Forest School on Wednesday afternoons (subject to interest)
- Our popular Halloween Trail
- The pool is open!
- Daily animal feeding sessions
- Horse riding lessons and hacks.
If you'e like to venture farther afield on the odd day during Half Term for some spooky Halloween fun, then here are just a few suggestions to tempt you …
25th October to 2nd November - The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Pentewan, PL26 6EN (50 mins)
Heligan gets spooky as it celebrates Cornish folklore and Halloween. Take part in potion and wand making crafts and brave a walk around the “Wise Witches of Nature” trail with a chance to toast a marshmallow over a warm fire pit at the end. There are also donkey and goat walks and ponies in panniers demonstrating how the harvest used to be moved across the land in ancient times. Also, take time to visit Heligan’s latest sculpture - Lowarnes (Cornish for vixen) - a 6 metre tall leaping fox made from vivid russet rhododendron wood grown at Heligan.
25th October - 2nd November - Silhouettes and Shadows, National Maritime Museum, Falmouth, TR11 3QY (60 mins)
The nights are drawing in and the shadows are taking over this October Half Term at the Museum. Join in with the shadow puppet stories and songs in the Boat Hall, get creative in spooky Make & Take, and discover the seamonster Morgawr trail! Shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
Friday 31 October, 4pm – 6.30pm (last entry 5.30pm)
Visit the Museum out of hours for Halloween if you dare! Ghoulishly good fun awaits – keep your eyes peeled for tricks and treats along the way.
25th October - October Half Term Rock Pool Ramble, Hannafore, Looe (5 mins)
2pm - 3.30pm. Fancy finding some crackin’ crabs & stunning starfish? Well why not join local experts as they explore the rocky shore! Attendees should come along with suitable footwear (no flip flops) and leave their nets at home as they can harm delicate rockpool creatures. Meet below the coastguard station on Hannafore Beach.

22nd - 31st October - Penhale Pantry and their amazing Pumpkin Patch! Dobwalls, PL14 4LT (10 mins)
Last year was a sellout so get tickets early. Grab a wheelbarrow and search for the perfect pumpkin, enjoy a hot chocolate or flavoured latte afterwards and bring a little autumn comfort to your day, maybe with home-cooked breakfast or lunch.
