Woodland Craft Club

Written by Zoe Snowdon

This summer, I (Zoe) will be running a Woodland Craft Club during the school holidays, usually on Tuesday afternoons.

The sessions will last around an hour to an hour and a half and are all about getting creative using inspiration from nature and the beautiful surroundings here at Treworgey.

We'll be making all sorts of woodland-themed creations, from nature crowns decorated with leaves and flowers to clay imprints, sun prints and other crafts using natural materials collected from around the farm. Some weeks we may even try hammer printing leaves onto fabric bags to create unique keepsakes to take home.

One of the things I love about these activities is that every child creates something completely different. There is no right or wrong way to do it – it's all about having fun, being creative and spending time outdoors.

Whether your child already loves arts and crafts or simply enjoys exploring nature, I hope they'll enjoy joining us for an afternoon of woodland-inspired creativity. And best of all, they'll have something handmade to take home as a reminder of their holiday at Treworgey.

"What a brilliant place. So relaxing. Even when the weather is bad it is so lovely to be here with a lovely warm fire. We have been to Laurel several times and we never tire."
