Our onsite swimming pool and spa

Outdoor Pool

The heated outdoor pool sits in a spectacular setting with views down the valley towards the Looe River and is a sheltered and gardened sun trap. The pool is heated to 28°C/83°F+, weather permitting and is usually open from 15th May to approximately 10th September.

Early opening 2024!  In 2024 we are going to trial opening the pool on the 29th March, in time for the main Easter holidays!   This will be enabled by putting an additional heat exchanger onto the pool heating system, which runs on our home-grown biofuel.

Comfortable sun loungers and tables and chairs offer space to soak up the sun by the pool. For young children there is a toddler pool beside the main pool, and a playpen is available to keep the very young and inquisitive out of the pool while parents swim.  Parents can comfortably sit and watch children swim from the warmth of the summer house, which has changing facilities, floats, a playpen and a loo. There is also an honesty-box fridge and freezer where you can help yourselves to drinks and delicious local ice-cream – a real treat!

For swimming out of our pool’s season, the Lux Park Leisure Centre indoor pool in Liskeard (15 mins) is popular and has a water flume for the kids.

Spa area

You can enjoy beautiful views from our wonderful spa pool (like a hot tub, but with a full pumped filtration system instead of sitting water with chemicals in it like most hot tubs!), situated within a terraced garden just a few yards from the swimming pool.  Our luxurious glass, larch and slate pool house has a theraputic infrared sauna as well as seating area, shower and changing rooms.  The spa pool and sauna are open all year excluding 5th Jan - 5th Feb.

What our visitors have to say:

"Another wonderful holiday. The children once again loved the pool, enjoyed thrashing Daddy at tennis and table tennis and little Maisy especially loved the animals. Sad to be going, will be back again." FRANCIS, TERESA, JACK, HOLLY & MAISY HARNETT

This was our 4th family stay at the Treworgey farmhouse and we are very excited about returning yet again next month! The space allows our family from different parts of the country to get together for a holiday in a lovely, safe setting in sunny beautiful Cornwall.

Everything that we might have wanted in a luxury cottage was there, and more. Can also highly recommend the spa treatments provided by Cheryl which completed our luxury break- hopefully the first of many visits to Treworgey.

"Lovely to have the dog walks so close to the cottage. Have walked the bridle path & lane to Duloe & lunched at the Plough -very good & dog friendly. Have done the walk from the swimming pool across the fields. Trenant Woods. Duloe Woods. Pencarrow. Talland Bay to Polperro. Walks!" THE RATCLIFFS AND DOGS
"I have to admit that I thought it would be boring stuck here in the middle of nowhere .... but we have swum (the pool is luscious, even if it's cold outside) and traveled to beaches, cinema, bowling and been biking and riding. You can walk to Sandplace station (10 mins) and catch a train to Looe or lots of places." LUCY WILLIAMSON (AGED 15)
"I must agree that Treworgey has very much everything you need. It's really fun. I enjoyed: swimming in the pool, the woodland walk at Treworgey (very pretty, and good for den building), curling up by the fire with a good book and getting apple juice from Cornish Orchards." ABI (AGED 10)
"Fields and animals were amazing for our two year old who made friends with all the animals. Looe was the perfect beach for our toddler and the swimming pool in the afternoons was lovely. Beautiful location, wonderful amenities and a lovely stay." PAUL, BEA & AVIE EDWARDS

We’ve rented The Farmhouse for a few years now, for a ladies’ weekend away. Everyone loves it. It’s warm and cosy in the November gloom. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished.

"Geoff's Barn was perfect for our family of five with wonderful open fires and plenty of space for kids to play. The garden and its views were magical. We will be back if we can get availability!" ANNA, ANDREW, BENJAMIN, MARTHA & THEO COHEN
"The girls [6 and 4 yrs] have loved every minute of swimming, riding, playing and meeting the animals." THECURRIE FAMILY
