The sun has been shining here in Cornwall for a few weeks now, we have been making the most of going to the fabulous beaches, swimming in the pool and enjoying fun with the ponies.

There's nothing like local knowledge and before your stay with us, we'll send you a link to our online guide with your pre-arrival email, for all our top tips of places to visit, eat and enjoy (as well as everything you might need to know about your cottage before you arrive).  You can take a look at our guide here. We hope the sunshine continues but in case it doesn't, we have lots of suggestions for the less sunny days!

Below are our top 8 favourite things to do near Treworgey on gorgeous days!

Holidays in Cornwall with riding Holidays in south Cornwall close to the coast Farm holidays in Cornwall

  1. Head to the beach (we love Talland, Lantic, Lansallos and Whitsand)

  2. Swim in our beautiful outdoor pool

  3. Sit in the swinging chair in our playground with a cold drink while the kids play

  4. Enjoy our woodland farm walks (for some welcome shade!)

  5. Book a lesson in our riding school - the arena has spectacular views!

  6. Head to Bodmin Moor for beautiful scenery and to escape the busy beaches

  7. Look out for agricultural shows - great fun for everyone! (e.g. Liskeard show on 8th July)

  8. Wild swimming  - try pools in the river at Golitha Falls or see our wild swimming blog

  9. Eat outdoors - try the barbecue nights at The Smugglers Rest, Talland Bay or sit outside with a gorgeous pizza at Sams on the Beach

  10. Have clotted cream ice cream:  Treleavens in Looe is superb, and we strongly recommend doing it the Cornish way: with a big dollop of clotted cream on top!
